Selection
There are numerous factors involved in choosing the best hearing selection for you. The characteristics of the hearing aid are important, of course. Just as important are the things we learn about you during the consultation. There is no “best” hearing aid. The best hearing aid for you is the one that has the physical and technological characteristics to fit your life and your needs and of course, your budget.
Fitting
When you leave Auditory Services with your hearing aids, you will know that they have been properly adjusted to your hearing loss. We use a process known as real-ear measurement, and a technique called speech mapping. Taking measurements inside your ear canal with your actual hearing instrument is the best way to be certain that the hearing aid is providing the needed and appropriate response. Use of a speech stimulus for this measurement increases it’s relevance to real-world situations.
Introduction and Orientation
We take our time at each hearing aid fitting, making sure that when you leave the office with your hearing aids, you are well prepared to use and maintain them on your own. It’s not difficult to use hearing aids, but for most people it is a new experience. We carefully review all aspects of care, including use of batteries, cleaning and daily maintenance, insertion, removal, storage, etc. We provide lots of useful tips to help you get the most out of your hearing aids, and make sure that you are aware of all your rights when purchasing new hearing aids. We make sure you understand the useful benefits of your hearing aid warranty.
Repairs
We are familiar with a wide variety of hearing aid brands, styles, and technology. Many hearing aid repairs are simple, and can be accomplished in the office. When your hearing aid requires a manufacturer repair, we handle that for you as well, making sure that your hearing aid receives the best service possible. We make sure that your repaired hearing aid is returned to you tested, and with your specific settings re-established.
Accessories
We stock all kinds of things at the office to help you get the most out of your hearing aids, and keep them working well. We offer everything from special wipes for cleaning your hearing aids, to handy drying devices to help keep them working and sharp. We have EarPlanes for children and adults, otoclips, Otoease, dri-aid kits, telecoil loops, and so much more. It it involves hearing aids, chances are it’s here at the office. If we don’t happen to have what you need, we will get it for you.

We stock hearing aid batteries from Ray-O-Vac and Duracell. We have size 10 (yellow), 312 (brown), 13 (orange) and 675 (blue). We ship batteries as well. We do not charge for shipping.
